Day 1 – Welcome to Phnom Penh
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, your professional local guide will warmly welcome you before beginning your city sightseeing experience.
Your first stop is the iconic Wat Phnom, a beautiful 15th-century temple built on the city’s only natural hill and considered the birthplace of Phnom Penh. Continue to the elegant Independence Monument, constructed in 1958 to commemorate Cambodia’s independence from French colonial rule, and admire the nearby King Norodom Sihanouk Memorial, dedicated to Cambodia’s beloved former monarch.
Drive through the city’s historic center while passing the monuments of Samdech Choun Nath, the father of the Khmer dictionary, and Preah Phirum Master Ou, one of Cambodia’s most celebrated poets and literary figures.
Enjoy a traditional Khmer welcome dinner at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 2 – Oudong Mountain & Cultural Heritage
After breakfast, leave the capital behind for a scenic drive to Oudong Mountain, located approximately 45 minutes northwest of Phnom Penh.
Once the royal capital of Cambodia from 1618 to 1866, Oudong is home to magnificent hilltop stupas, ancient temples, and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Climb to the summit to explore sacred shrines, including the impressive 2002 stupa, which houses revered Buddha relics brought from Sri Lanka.
At the foot of the mountain, browse local food stalls offering authentic Cambodian snacks and regional specialties before returning to Phnom Penh.
Along the journey back, stop at the remarkable Win-Win Memorial, an important monument celebrating Cambodia’s national reconciliation and the peaceful conclusion of decades of civil conflict.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the modern SOSORO Monetary Museum, where interactive exhibitions illustrate over 2,000 years of Cambodian monetary history, commerce, and economic development.
As evening approaches, explore the lively Phnom Penh Night Market, an excellent place to shop for handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs, and traditional Khmer street food.
End the day with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3 – Phnom Penh City Exploration
This morning, visit Cambodia’s most famous landmark, the magnificent Royal Palace, the official residence of the Cambodian Royal Family since the 19th century.
Within the palace grounds, admire the spectacular Silver Pagoda, renowned for its priceless Buddhist treasures, gold statues, and floor paved with thousands of gleaming silver tiles.
Continue to the iconic Central Market (Phsar Thmey), a beautiful Art Deco building where visitors can browse jewelry, silk products, spices, handicrafts, and locally made souvenirs.
Following lunch, gain deeper insight into Cambodia’s recent history with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), one of the country’s most significant historical sites documenting the Khmer Rouge period.
Later, enjoy free time at Chip Mong Mega Mall, one of Phnom Penh’s newest shopping destinations, perfect for relaxing with coffee, browsing international brands, or enjoying modern Cambodian city life.
In the evening, dine at a local restaurant before finishing your day with a leisurely walk through Bassac Lane, Phnom Penh’s trendy entertainment district, famous for its boutique bars, cafés, live music venues, and vibrant nightlife.
