ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Bac Sum Pass – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van
Your private journey begins with a morning transfer from Hanoi toward Ha Giang. Depending on your departure time and travel preferences, we can arrange a comfortable private vehicle or suitable transfer service to Ha Giang.
Upon arrival, meet your Vietnamese women-led tour team and begin the mountain journey by private open-air Jeep.
The road quickly climbs into the spectacular landscape of Ha Giang. Travel through Bac Sum Pass, stopping at viewpoints to admire the mountains and valleys below. Continue to Quan Ba Heaven Gate and the famous Twin Mountains before traveling deeper into the countryside.
Continue toward Lung Tam, a traditional Hmong community known for its handmade textiles and traditional handicrafts. This is an opportunity to experience local culture and see how traditional crafts are preserved by the community.
After lunch, continue through Yen Minh and into the Dong Van Karst Plateau. The scenery becomes increasingly dramatic as limestone mountains, winding roads and remote villages surround the route.
Travel through Tham Ma Pass before visiting the historic Hmong King Palace in Sa Phin. Continue to Dong Van Town, check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner.
In the evening, relax or take a short walk through Dong Van’s peaceful old town.
Overnight in Dong Van.
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Me Pia Pass – Cao Bang
After breakfast, leave Dong Van and follow the famous Happiness Road toward Ma Pi Leng Pass.
This is one of the most spectacular sections of the Ha Giang Loop. Huge limestone cliffs rise above deep valleys while the Nho Que River winds far below. Stop at selected viewpoints to enjoy the scenery and take photographs.
Continue through Meo Vac and into the remote mountain landscapes between Ha Giang and Cao Bang.
After lunch in the Bao Lac area, continue toward Cao Bang through quiet valleys, traditional villages and dramatic limestone formations. This section takes you away from the busiest tourist routes and offers a more remote side of northern Vietnam.
One of the highlights of the afternoon is Me Pia Pass, famous for its extraordinary series of winding switchbacks climbing the mountainside. Stop at the viewpoint to appreciate the unusual shape of the road and the surrounding landscape.
Continue toward Cao Bang City and arrive in the late afternoon.
Check into your accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax after a full day on the mountain roads.
Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 3: Cao Bang – Phia Thap – God’s Eye Mountain – Nguom Ngao Cave – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Khuoi Ky Village
After breakfast, leave Cao Bang City and continue by private Jeep toward the northern countryside.
Travel through Phia Thap and surrounding villages before reaching God’s Eye Mountain, also known as Nui Mat Than. This distinctive natural formation sits within a beautiful landscape of limestone mountains, green valleys and open countryside.
Continue toward Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most impressive caves in northern Vietnam. Explore the cave and admire its dramatic limestone formations, stalactites and stalagmites.
After the cave visit, continue to Ban Gioc Waterfall.
Set among towering limestone mountains and lush green countryside, Ban Gioc is one of Vietnam’s most spectacular waterfalls. Take time to enjoy the views from different viewpoints and photograph the falls. When local conditions permit, you may also enjoy a bamboo raft experience for a closer view.
Continue to Khuoi Ky Village, a traditional Tay community famous for its distinctive stone houses.
Enjoy dinner and spend the evening in this peaceful mountain village, surrounded by the scenery of Cao Bang.

Day 4: Khuoi Ky – Cao Bang – Hanoi
After breakfast, leave Khuoi Ky Village and begin the final day of your northern Vietnam adventure.
Travel through the peaceful countryside of Cao Bang, with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints and small villages along the way.
Continue toward Cao Bang City for lunch before beginning the private journey back to Hanoi.
As the road leaves the mountains behind, the landscape gradually changes from limestone peaks and forested valleys to the countryside surrounding the capital.
