Vietnam Women Travel – Premium Private Tours Led by Women
Discover a different side of Ha Giang on a private 3-day Jeep adventure designed for travelers who want to go beyond the classic tourist route.
Instead of simply following the main Ha Giang Loop, this journey combines the famous mountain passes with quieter back roads, remote valleys and traditional communities. Travel from Ha Giang through Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van before crossing the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass and continuing into the peaceful landscapes around Du Gia and Bac Me.
Along the way, you will experience dramatic limestone mountains, terraced rice fields, traditional villages and the daily life of communities living in the highlands.
Travel by private open-air Jeep with an experienced driver and Vietnamese women-led team. You can enjoy the scenery without riding a motorbike, while your Jeep carries your luggage throughout the journey.
This private tour is ideal for couples, families, friends and travelers looking for a more authentic and less crowded Ha Giang experience.
ITINERARY
Hanoi – Ha Giang – Bac Sum Pass – Quan Ba – Lung Tam – Yen Minh – Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Mau Due – Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley – Bac Me – Ha Giang – Hanoi
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Bac Sum Pass – Quan Ba – Lung Tam – Yen Minh – Dong Van
Your private journey begins with a comfortable transfer from Hanoi to Ha Giang.
Upon arrival in Ha Giang, meet your Vietnamese women-led tour team and continue by private open-air Jeep into the mountains.
The road quickly climbs toward Bac Sum Pass, where the landscape opens into spectacular views of limestone mountains and deep valleys. Continue to Quan Ba Heaven Gate and stop to enjoy panoramic views over Tam Son and the famous Twin Mountains.
From Quan Ba, travel through Lung Tam Valley and traditional Hmong villages. The area is known for its traditional textile craftsmanship and peaceful mountain scenery. Along the way, you will see terraced fields, limestone peaks and small communities surrounded by the mountains.
After lunch, continue through Yen Minh toward the Dong Van Karst Plateau. The scenery becomes increasingly dramatic as the road climbs through the highlands.
In the afternoon, visit the historic Hmong King Palace in Sa Phin, an important cultural site connected with the history of the Hmong people.
Continue to Dong Van Town, check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner.
In the evening, take a relaxed walk around Dong Van’s old town or simply enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
Overnight in Dong Van.
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Mau Due – Du Gia
After breakfast, begin one of the most spectacular days of the journey.
Leave Dong Van and follow the famous Happiness Road toward Ma Pi Leng Pass. Towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically around the road, while deep valleys stretch far below.
Stop at carefully selected viewpoints to enjoy the scenery and photograph one of northern Vietnam’s most impressive mountain landscapes.
Continue to viewpoints overlooking the Nho Que River, where the turquoise river winds through a dramatic limestone gorge far below. Take time to enjoy the scenery before continuing toward Meo Vac.
After lunch, leave the busier sections of the loop and travel through the quieter mountain roads around Mau Due and Duong Thuong.
The landscape here feels more remote and peaceful, with traditional villages, terraced fields, mountain valleys and limestone peaks surrounding the road.
Continue toward Du Gia through back roads and small communities. As you approach Du Gia, the scenery becomes greener and more peaceful.
Arrive at a traditional Tay family homestay and experience the warm atmosphere of mountain life. Enjoy a home-style dinner and, if you wish, spend time with your hosts learning about local culture and daily life.
Overnight in Du Gia.
Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley – Terraced Rice Fields – Bac Me – Ha Giang – Hanoi
After breakfast, say goodbye to your host family and continue your journey by open-air Jeep.
Rather than returning along the same road, today’s route takes you through quieter mountain roads toward Duong Thuong Valley and Bac Me.
The scenery is different from the previous two days, with green valleys, terraced rice fields, forested hills and peaceful mountain villages. This is one of the best sections of the journey for travelers who want to experience the quieter side of Ha Giang.
Stop along the way for photographs and to enjoy the views. Your guide can also help you learn more about the local communities, traditional houses and agricultural life of the region.
Continue through Bac Me and gradually make your way back toward Ha Giang City.
After lunch, transfer from Ha Giang back to Hanoi by private vehicle.
The mountain scenery slowly gives way to the countryside as you leave the highlands behind.
Arrive in Hanoi in the evening, completing your private 3-day Ha Giang Jeep adventure.

WHY CHOOSE THIS HA GIANG JEEP TOUR?
A different Ha Giang route
This tour is not simply a standard version of the Ha Giang Loop. It combines the famous highlights with quieter roads around Mau Due, Du Gia, Duong Thuong and Bac Me.
Private from beginning to end
You travel with your own Jeep, driver and tour team. There are no strangers in your group, and the pace can be adjusted around your interests.
Led by Vietnamese women
Our female-led team brings local knowledge, professional tourism experience and personal service throughout the journey.
Adventure without riding a motorbike
Enjoy the famous mountain roads and landscapes without having to ride a motorbike yourself.
More time in the mountains
Instead of rushing between viewpoints, the itinerary allows time to enjoy valleys, villages, local communities and the changing scenery.
A genuine cultural experience
The overnight stay with a Tay family in Du Gia gives you a chance to experience local hospitality and mountain life beyond sightseeing.
WHY TRAVEL BY OPEN-AIR JEEP?
The open-air Jeep offers a comfortable way to experience Ha Giang’s spectacular mountain roads.
The open design gives you wide views of limestone cliffs, valleys, terraced fields and villages. You can enjoy the mountain breeze, take photographs and watch the scenery change throughout the journey.
Your professional driver handles the winding mountain roads while you simply relax and enjoy the experience.
The Jeep also carries your luggage, making it a practical choice for a multi-day private journey.
BEYOND THE CLASSIC HA GIANG LOOP
Many Ha Giang tours focus on the same major viewpoints and follow the busiest sections of the loop.
This itinerary goes further.
You will still experience the iconic landscapes of Quan Ba, Dong Van and Ma Pi Leng, but the route then moves into quieter areas around Mau Due, Du Gia, Duong Thuong and Bac Me.
These less-traveled roads provide a different perspective of Ha Giang, with fewer tourists, peaceful valleys, terraced fields and communities living much closer to the natural environment.
The result is a journey that combines the highlights travelers expect with the quieter experiences that make Ha Giang special.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Ha Giang is a mountainous destination with winding roads, remote areas and changing weather conditions.
The itinerary may be adjusted when necessary because of weather, road conditions, local regulations or other circumstances beyond our control. Safety and comfort always come first.
The journey involves several hours of road travel each day, including winding and mountainous sections. Travelers should be comfortable with mountain road travel.
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing, a light jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses and suitable walking shoes.
The weather can change quickly in the mountains, so a light rain jacket is also recommended.
